Welcome to LA.
This is a blog erupting out of the stories of two young actresses in their first year living in Los Angeles. Rose and I are from Southern California. We have known LA in our many trips into the city, but we did not fully begin to know it until moving here. Los Angeles is a circus. We were expecting to run into some crazies, especially because we are in a business that attracts them like fireflies, but we did not know the magnitude of crazy we would come across.
Los Angeles is thrilling and gratifying as well. It is a place that reminds us we are actors; that our career is and will be in the theatre, film and television. We cannot escape our industry here, so we know we cannot fail here. Many people curse the acting world by pointing at all the failed actors who are purged out of it. Those people were never actors to begin with. If they were, they didn’t count their successes and claimed failure before it was necessary to do so. Failure can only be measured at the time of death.
So about this blog..
This is a record of our struggles, triumphs and moments that are quintessentially “Los Angeles” .
We have many stories that have occurred in our first couple months here that must be shared. They will be weaved in and out of current posts.
